ECU and tune

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking about getting a tune. I saw installation video on the jb3. I'm not sure what tune to get yet. My question is about the ECU compartment. When taking the tune out to bring my car for service, do I need to put everything in the ECU box (wires...and such) back to eaxctly how it was when I first opened the cover to install the tune? Does anyone do this? I was thinking about taking a picture first.

Is there a certain way the cables, plugs are situated inside the ECU compartment? Is there a specific way it's placed from the factory? Does dealer have a diagram/picture to compare to? I will put it back to stock neatly before service. Is that good enough?

Thanks fellow members.

Plug and play gives you so much less hassle. But if you're not lazy pin out isnt so hard either. MAX 15min after you done it a few times. Its pretty much straight forward with no headaches matching pins. The only headache i really had installing was slipping the ECU connectors back on which you need to do pin out or plug in. Other than that i think its the choice of luxury or not coughing up $300 more for plug and play and less work down the road. All i know is that i took out the JB3 in and out of my car more than 10+ times and its just matter of being lazy. LOL

Theres nothing really to put back in stock. After you install JB3 and its time to take it out, you take the pins out of JB3 and put them back in the slots where its suppose to be which is ALL pretty much common sense. Other than that there isnt a "stock way" to put the wires.

Installing the JB3 for the first time should pretty much explain everything.
I never installed even a intake before installing the JB3 and its was pretty easy.
