Injen Intake Review

I purchased the Injen Dual Cone Intake from BOBBY@BAVARIANX.COM, about 3 weeks ago. I had installed it as soon as I got it.

I can say absoloutly nothing negative about this product.

-STRONG POINTS

-EASY INSTALLATION- (Took About 30-45 min(if you are good w/ tools)

-HI GRADE HARDWARE- (Matches all threads where stock holes are)

-CLEAN INSTALL- (No drilling cutting)

-GREAT SOUND- (YOU CAN HEAR THE RECIRCULATING VALVES) WOOSH!

-WARRANTY- FULL WARRANTY THROUGH INJEN(on what? I dnt know, filters?)

-I cannot say enough about the quality and sound of this intake..

I am posting pictures soon as soon as my comp stops freezing.. Good stuff Worth Every $$

PS: 14 WHP Gain On a DynoDynamics dyno...proven by me!!

Hmmm, it's good to see the gains are there. It looks beautiful. If I were buying my first intake, i'd consider it. Congrats

Oh, and it's generally easier to put your mods in your sig than above your avatar. I'm just saying

nice but from the sound of things, the sound and performance looks to be the same as pretty much any other DCI. it's an expensive piece but it does look real nice.

Definatly worth every penny to me, it looks awesome and brings out the hidden sound of the turbo's. If you are using the car as a daily driver I would strongly recommend the hydro covers for the filters!

I recently got mine and installed it as well.

However I will have to disagree with the "easy installation" part... the install document that comes with the intake has to be the worst documentation I have ever followed.

I could have made something with a lot less pages and pictures printed and STILL be far easier to follow.

Also the metal bracket you're supposed to support the stock power-steering pump line with as well as the intake pipe connection joint (with the rubber / vibration eliminator piece)... the stock screw/washer that is supposed to be on the left side (closest to the front of the car) would not have enough threads to catch on. I had to grind down that metal piece (L bracket part) that goes against the shock tower between the power steering pump line bracket.

Took me all in all about 2 hours to do it. If I was going to re-do it again, it would take probably 20 minutes now knowing what needs to be done to make things as smooth sailing as possible.

I can hear at least with my BMS DCI.

This injen looks nice but it's too expensive, like 4 times more expensive than BMS.

Do you have any pics? I have crimson red, and was definately thinking about getting this, but before i spend and additional $300 just for cosmetic reasons, i wanted to make sure it looks right.

Not sure how the red intake would look next to your crison red suspension tower

They sell INJEN HYDRO COVERS for the filters...its a pre-filter that "repels" water and keeps out the sand/smaller particles.. they are like 25.00 a piece I ordered mine last week....

It comes with Directions...And they are not that bad as long as you can read and have played with Kenex or Lego's when you were a kid

Thanks.. Funny Bobby never mentioned those... Guess I won't need them until next winter anyway...

By the way, I went through a no touch automatic car wash and the filters were completely dry after

That's what i'm worried about either the red intake will make it look awesome, or it will make it looks terrible. I doubt there is in in between.

Hey you are local, go see Bavarian, and have them show you the different colors in person next to your engine bay and then you can chose.
They have black, polished and red for the tubing
and blue or red for the filters..
You can chose any combination and they hooked me up with the install as well...

Good luck
