A little help! Who's your provider?

Hi guys,
This ones for all you tri-state guys. I'm kind of getting sick of receiving all these different bills for my internet, phone, cable, etc... Yes, I still have different providers for everything. I was just wondering who your provider was for all your needs (Internet, phone, cable, etc...) And how much are you paying for your package, or whatever set up you may have. I feel because I still have everything separate, I'm paying way more than I should be paying. Hope you guys can lead my towards the right direction.

Let's hear what you've got....THANKS!

was on Comcast (or time warner in north jersey) for many years.

Currenly, just switched to Verizon Fios.

Love it

Super fast internet 20MB download speed
1 HD box, HD TV premium package

for $79.99/ month for 24 months + $100 cash back.

(After tax and fees and etc comes to about $90.xx)

no movie channel for me though, since I am on netflix.

I also dont have a landline..

if you use Verizon triple play, I think it is about $100 or so per month and you get $150 cash back.

I'm usually not home, so no land line here.

Thanks for the feedback. I get so many different postcards from all the providers, and its so damn confusing which one to choose.

what frustrated me the most with comcast is (same with time warner)

1. unstable internet signal
2. price (for the same service, at pathetic 6MB download, comcast wants me to pay $139 + tax!?!? no thanks)

If you have Fios available in the area, I'd recommend try it out.

The HD channels switching speed is also faster. (when you switch between standard and HD, there is usually a 3-4 seconds lag for comcast), for Fios right now, only 1-2 seconds. Sure, it may be nothing, but it adds up if you switch channels often or if you're channel surfing.

Good luck.

You should save quite a bit if you consolidate all services from 1 provider.

It's really up to your use and location. I used to have tripleplay from TW, but I hardly watch TV (mostly shows and sports games, I just live stream from internet, I hooked up my internet to my hdtv, but too bad I can't watch HD quality since its live streamed from the internet), Since I have a cellphone, why do I need a phone line for? So I changed my plan to $29.99/mo for internet use. Sometime I would go back to netflix to get blueray movies (once every 6 months?) to watch the movies I missed at once.

I still roll with the different providers also.

Verizon = Phone (best)
Opitum Online = Cable/Inet (Best)

FIOS is not yet availible in my area, been on-going for about.... 5 yrs

FIOS comes with YES. I switched from Cablevision to Verizon and it's like black and white. A little more expensive but you get what you pay for. I'm with their triple play or whatever it's called (TV/internet/phone).

GAMEOVR - Fios is much faster than Optimum. Give it a try when its available in your area. If your an HD enthusiast, Fios is the way to go.

Their fiber optic cables let them have more capacity to expand bandwidth and offer more high resolution channels. All the other providers are stuggling to keep up by upgrading their lines. All verizon has to do is crank up the signal.

My 2 cents.

I must live in the worst area. Verizon doesn't offer Fios in my area yet, and I have Comcast in my area so I can't get IO.
As for a landline, even though I don't use the house phone much, I like to have it for emergency contact. I was actually looking into getting T-mobile@home for $10 a month, and possibly getting comcast for TV/internet.

Time Warner Triple Play. It sucks.

I'm waiting for FIOS.
