JB3 1.3 8d Rev3 track times!

Well, previously I thought that 2.040 60’ was the limit for stock RFTs
Previously, I thought that 12.307 was pushing it with stock wheels and RFTs

I’m here to say that is no more.


Todays info:
Sunny, 68-70 degrees

Passes:

EVERY pass was done in 2nd gear.
EVERY pass was done with full traction control off

Run 1 LANE 1 (the one WITH traction and better prep)
60’ 2.139
¼ 12.332
mph 118.34

Pull up to the ticket booth:
“uhmm, our printer isn’t working right now?”
“what!?, you kidding me”
“you can go upstairs and ask for a hand written copy”
“you can make sure you get the printer fixed before my next pass”

Run 2 LANE 2 (shitty lane)
60’ 2.122
¼ 12.380
mph 119.04

So here is were the cheating started.
Lowered rear tire pressure 2 psi
NEVER, NEVER had the tires been turned over. Not even on the old 12.30 pass
This time, just gave them a quick turn over, not really a spin.

Run 3 LANE 1
60’ 1.943
¼ 12.049
mph 118.16

Hmmm, this tire spinnin kinda works.
Ok, let’s turn them over a little more…

Run 4 Lane 1
60’ 1.908
¼ 11.993
mph 118.26

Two things went wrong on the 5th and final run

Lane 2 again…and brake boosted too much
The RFTs said, “hey remember what you did to me last time last time” fcuk YOU"

60’ 2.274
¼ 12.666
mph 119.59

Fastest mph for the night, worse ET though. Got greedy AGAIN on my last run.
(this was the best shifting EVER though, found a neat little trick on the steptronic)

OLD RUN INFO: 135, JB3 1.22 map 8, 103 Octane, half an intake, half an exhaust
(K&N highflow drop in with Riss scoops, CP-E midpipes)
STOCK rubber/wheels, DP's, Airbox, muffler

Differences from last time:

104 octane (instead of 103) One point up
JBR 8D rev3 MAP 7 went down 1 map!
Other than that, NOTHING.

Best for the night

11.993 in the 1/4 and 119.59 for mph

Just what I did last time when I did my 11.783. No warm up burnout whatsoever. Just a 1/2 second scrub. And probably had the tire pressure at 27-28 psi on my run. Your runs on RFTS and 2nd gear launch almost sound unbelievable! People are going to think it is BS, LOL. Congrats!

So either all of the "factory freaks" are running JB3 or there is something about this tune that is better then the rest.

With JB3 breaking records both on the dynos and tracks, why pay twice as much for other tunes and get less performance?

As soon as Terry releases 1.3 final, I'll be at his place getting one installed.

thanks man. The CP-E pipes are just MIDs not the downpipes btw.
Wish i could pick them bad boys up though

Two people came up and ask how much it was sprayin
They were like " just a f'n chip!?"

I think they're mouths dropped when they heard 1st gear wasn't being used
