Resistors size

Hi All,

I've bought an LED for the angel eyes which uses 0.15W the car expects 10W bulb which causes an error on the dash. in order to cancel the error what would be the resistor size i need to add to avoid the error i'm guessing 10W and 15 ohms ?

Thanks in advance !

V= IR

P = VI

10W = 12V * I; I= 0.83 amp.

12 V/0.83 amp = 14.46 ohm

You need a 10W, 15 ohm resistor - you are exactly correct.

i know with my turn signal, the OEM bulb is 6 ohm
the only resistor that worked and prevented the bulb failure was a 3ohm resistor
