Help: Springs and Shocks

Is it true that when lowering your car using springs you should change the shocks as well?

yes, if you plan to keep the car longer than 3 years. If you have a lease, spring will do if you want to save money. Its tough choice.

Then buy them as a set. OEM springs are matched to OEM shocks. ZSP springs are matched to ZSP...I'll stop.

Yeah but you can run H&R Sports with the stock shocks. I think H&R Race is when you should upgrade..

Yes, you can for sure, but again, not good for the OEM shocks whether they "feel", fine or not. Just as you can run Race springs on OEM shocks, same ill effects, just the race springs will destroy the OEM shocks way faster than the sports. If that is your definition of yes you can, then yes you can.

+1

or

the safest way, i'd say get a set of coilovers... they are a bit pricey in my opinion, but I personally love them..

It's not the money issue. Really all I want is H&R sport springs. I think I'm gonna buy the H&R touring cup kit. It has the springs and shocks also the drop I want.
