Eisenmann Race ordered!!

After months of deliberating, i finally decided upon which exhaust im going to fit to the M3. Yesterday i ordered and paid for an Eisenmann Race!! I also ordered the connecting pipes as i dont want to hack off and butcher my stock exhaust and want the option of putting car back to stock when i sell and then sell the Eisenmann separately etc. They make them to order so ive got to wait an agonising 4 weeks - but if you listen to the link below - i think it'll be worth the wait!!!

It does sound good BB, I'd like to hear it from inside the car, all these "camera up close" vids are ok, but not really a true sound to the end user.

To be honest Paul at Mstyle had this exhaust originally fitted to his E93 M3 and i heard it up close - it sounded even better in the flesh - although i cant comment on the in-cabin noise/drone etc - but who cares - sounds like God gurgling and thats all that matters to me!!!!

You'll be a long way from home Foxy if you do but i'd be more than happy to give you a couple of blips of the throttle - you'll probably find me going back and forth through the Blackwall Tunnel!!!

Thats the Meisterschaft - its come under a lot of criticism over in USA although im not too sure why exactly - think its more the company than the product from what ive read - trust me ive done tons of research on exhausts for the E92 M3 - and i agree these do sound amazing, the GT sounds very similar to the Eisenmann Race, with the GT2 being a little louder - but i think there is a limit to how loud an exhaust on a road car should be before it starts to delineate from the stock engine sound, esp the V8 burble, and becomes a little cheap and tacky - its personal taste and some will feel the Eisenmann is too loud - but its just about perfect for me of all the zorsts ive heard - it was always a toss up between the Remus and Eisey Race - i am also considering adding the AA X-pipe and secondary cat delete at a later stage if i keep car long term and that way the whole set up will be F**KING LOUD!!!!!!!

Good stuff Steve. Can't really appreciate how loud these things are until you actually get to see em IRL. I remember hearing Jerome's on the net and then hearing it at UK7, completely different ball game.

That Eisenmann sounds sikk on the vid and am sure it won't disappoint lol.

The Race sounds incredible! I was lucky enough to hear one in the UAE and the videos do it no justice

Just a thought though, wasn't it the Eisenmann Race that was considered illegal for road use?

Unless an exhaust has a BS or TUV sticker on it, it's illegal for road use.

My other passion is fast bikes - so trust me, illegal exhausts is really not an issue for me!!! I think as long as you exercise a little common sense and caution when you drive in certain places you can normally avoid any issues. Ive been riding very fast and even louder bikes for almost 20 years and ive never been stopped by the pigs for my race exhausts - personally i firmly believe my race exhausts on my bikes have saved my life on numerous occasions, especially when filtering - none of this relates to cars i appreciate, but i just love the sound of a loud'ish exhaust on a car and when i heard the Eisey on an E92 M3 i knew i HAD to have it on mine - simples!!!

I'm totally with you on this one mate, have always liked having race cans on bikes, especialy so you can blip the throttle to let sleepy car drivers know your there.

Looking forward to hearing the E-R system in the flesh, shame it's not here for the 'Ring trip.

Just out of curiosity what can the police do with regards to a non-road legal exhaust?

Unless then have a sound pressure meter in the car (and they normally don't as they leave it to the VOSA guys to do), they normally just give you a bollocking. Worst case they give you a producer and you have to get your car MOT'd...

Like Stevo mentioned, unless you make a nuicence of yourself your normally fine. On bikes I always just coasted or went passed them on a very light throttle. I've only been told off once for race cans and the reason the pulled me in the first place was a small number plate, so thought they'd just tell me off a bit more for the exhaust at the same time.

Small or illegal number plates seem to be much more likely to get you pulled.
