Can you use non-canbus maps with canbus procede and firmware?
Is anyone using previous maps for procede with the new canbus update and firmware? Im thinking of going back to the 2-19 maps. Im wondering if you still retain the canbus features. thanks in advance.

Im going to do a few logs tomorrow so we can look at it and see what the car is doing. I havent done it before but it doesnt look too hard. A lot of inconsistent pulls. sometimes its perfect and other times it fluctuates a lot and seems like somethings holding it back. Plenty of time to adapt. it seems worse during first few wot's then it gets better. I then think its okay and have no problems and it comes back. so annoying.

I felt the same way trying to adjust to the new maps...so I went back to 2-19...but I changed my mind once again and this is what I noticed...
...I think that it takes a WHILE for the new maps to adapt. I haven't switched my map (Map 1 = Map 2) settings and do not use valet...everyday it seems to get faster and smoother and now that I am fully adapted, the new maps are perfect. However, as soon as I switched maps back and forth, it didn't feel the same. So maybe we need to stick to a map for a while in order to be fully adapted. My two cents...

But this aside, I also find that even being on the same setting for 3-4 days in a row there still seems to be some random power fade especially in 3rd or 4th gear for me. Happens once in a while, then power returns immediately on the next run. I think that is the inconsistency that Fotios refers to. So it's helpful to know if others are experiencing this too in order to figure out whether it's something about our cars, or something peculiar in the tune under certain conditions. |
