Chrome tail-pipe cleaning?
My chrome tail-pipes have baked on black stuff on them that doesn't come off easily.
What is the best product to use to bring the shiny chrome finish back to life? |

hey..u canadian? anyways, you can use some chrome cleaner...its a little abrasive but it removes the black stuff pretty good...otherwise u can get a toothbrush and scrub at it...its just soot from the exhaust

Scratched, but clean pipes are better than black pipes. ![]() They are just exhaust pipes. I don't really care whether they are scratched up or not. |

Comet Scratch Free Disinfectant Cleanser with Bleach Hahaha. I don't think it is scratch free, but that's what it says on the container. ![]() |

Get a mothers polish ball, put some metal polish on the pipes and inside and just shove the ball in the pipe and go too town. Then do the out side. Comes out great. Looks brand new.

http://www.topoftheline.com/index.html Lot of people get their supplies from autogeek.net too. But I noticed that you mention it's been over a year, so I'm not sure if the P21S polishing soap will work. I wash the car every week and use the polish every other wash.

I dont know the right name but the petrolium used in lanterns is a superior and safe cleaner. It doesn't harm paint or crome and cleans with ease! I have used it for years remowing chain lube from my motorcycles rear wheel and tough dirt from the tip of the exhaust.
