Just to keep the majority of the dirt off, I use a combo of soapy water and a wash mit, an EZ detail brush, and P21S Gel.
To really get at them, especially for my billet wheels that are polished inside and out, I need to take them off to polish the inside of the wheel. For that I use either Mothers in a can, Mothers Power Metal, and Coopers Polish and Maintain. |

EZ Detail Brush (and maybe a smaller brush to get in the lug holes) with some some soap/water (or P21s) to remove the crud, a couple of coats of Poorboy's Wheel Sealant to help keep the buildup to a minimum, and some Mother's Chrome polish for the lip.
![]() To really get them clean, you'll want to remove them from the car completely.

The EZ Detail brush is excellent but my handle broke. I'm now going to order the Daytona Speed Master that is the same design but has a more substantial center rod. I still use the EZ Detail for smaller wheels and engine cleaning. I would by a couple more EZD brushes if they were the only offering in the market - they are that good even for intricate wheel patterns. Just not durable enough for very frequent use on multiple types of wheels and dirt conditions.
Also, watch the rubber tip on the end of the rod. Mine came off a couple of times until I Gorilla glued the b***h on permanently. Haven't had it missing yet. Again, don't get me wrong, I love the EZDetail brush. I just need "industrial strength".

I use the Ace Power Stick. It attaches to a drill and works just like the brushes in the car washes. There is no metal tip, so it won't scratch the rims. This combined with P21s is the BEST combo by far!

ace powersticks are by far the most powerful and useful thing, but it is too expensive for me to buy.
i'd suggest the follow for the inside Detailersdomain spoke brush first EZ detail brush MINI for a follow up i only have the EZ detail brush right now, and I don't feel it's strong enough to really get all the grit out |

I firmly believe that I should not put anything on my wheels that I would not put on the finish of my car. Therefore I use any and all of the following with lots of soap and water (no wheel cleaners at all):
1. My fingers. 2. Microfiber towel. 3. Microfiber wheel 'brush' from autozone.

Just checked Autogeek and on second thought, at $13 plus shipping for three of the finger pockets, forget it. I can do without.

I do this. I've got it down to 3-4 minutes per wheel.
