Econo-driving the 335
So when I drive I have my HUD showing me how many miles I can go with my remaining gas. And sometimes when I drive, I try to make it go up at least 5 miles until my next destination (which is sometimes hard to do).
So anyway, I filled up my tank yesterday, and today with the tank one line below full, I reached 399 miles first time ever I was very proud of myself and of course my car Has anyone beat this or come close? |

isnt there a MPG display? that would be a lot more useful for this kinda thing than DTE.

i have full exhaust....intake...tune.....and still avg 550km per full tank before i fill up....mix of city and hwy driving....just don't be boosting every time you drive and the car gets pretty good mileage for the power it makes.....

I saw it at 515 once, only because I was on the highway the entire time, other than that I get around 300 or so to a tank with plenty of spirited trips in there.

My record was ~475. I was mostly doing slow highway driving, and the gas pump didn't shut off until gas was spilling out of the tank filler. I didn't actually go that far though- I always fill up at 1/4 tank to help keep the fuel pumps cool.
On my normal urban 10 mile commute, I get 24-25 mpg indicated in the summer, 19-21 winter (since the car takes longer to warm up). The decent mpg is due to trying to keep it in 6th gear as much as possible, which means keeping my speed in the low 40's. I also try to coast to stops, sometime braking early to try to hit the next green without stopping & losing my momentum. My wife's commute is 2x as long with fewer stops, so she gets high 20's when she drives my 335 without doing anything special. When I drive it hard on mountain roads, I get about 10-14 mpg, but this is very seldom. |

during the summer I can roughly get 26mpg. I don't really trust that dte gauge a lot.

weekdays = highways (interstate)
weekends = city driving (NYC) my average mpg is around 21 right now. overall my DTE hovers around the 400 miles mark, no less.
