Leatherette

I semi-regret not ordering leather seats! What are we supposed to clean these seats with?

Damp microfiber is pretty good.

For a protectant I use E1 nanoprotectant.

+1

I also recommend either Lexol's Vinylex or 303 aerospace protectant for lasting protection. But pretty much the leathrette can take a good beating, the very reason why I stayed with them. GL

Leatherette — looks and feels like leather but lasts better!

What more could you want?

Tell passengers it's leather, they'll never know the difference!

Nah. I had leather in my e46 and don't miss it in my e90 at all. I did use the saved $1500 to buy an LCD flat panel TV. Now THAT was worth it

I use Meguiar's Interior quick detail for my leatherette.

I've heard Vinylex (by Lexol) offers good UV protection. I use their leather cleaner and conditioner. I tried Meguiar's leather stuff but I didn't like it, and I'm a huge fan of most of their products.

not really liking the leatherette..

it doesn't breathe like real leather. or maybe it's due to the lack of perforation.

This will sound disgusting, but my back usually is pretty damp after i get off the car after driving. No ventilation back there! And no, I do not have sweating problems!

I prefer a damp back on a couple occasions when it is hot out, opposed to having $1500 less at my disposal. Ive used a damp cloth and on another oocasion Armor all, both worked fine and I found the leatherette easier to clean than leather (last car had leather)

here here. Never understood the fascination with leather either. As said, it costs more, and requires a lot more work to maintain. If cloth seats were an option in the states, I would have gotten that in a heartbeat.
