@Dante
Thanks, looks like quiet an intense procedure. But in the article it states that for about 200 $ the paintshop/dealer can do it, i might go for that option. Cheers!

Don't worry this stuff will always happen, particularly if you do a lot of parralel (sp) parking - just leave them alone and give them a refurb before you trade in however many years

I don't know about rust. I had some rather deep cuts on my E46 alloys when I scraped quite hard against a misaligned kerb stone, the alloy was not just scratched, but a tiny part of it "chiseled" off - no signs of rust at all
I'd imagine if it were the case, the rust would be very little and not enough to cause any problems that a refurb will not sort out. ![]() (Sorry I don't have pictures of the other wheels) |

Is it possible trough refurb to have it fixed so you really really don't see it? Or will you always see a change in paintcolor and such?
btw: this is my first beamer and i'm absolutely amazed by the vibe of this forum! nice one!! |

I happen to come across an offer at my local dealer just a day or two before part-exing the E46 - £75 for a full refurb of all 4 alloy wheels. When they completed it, the alloys were as good as new - stopped me losing a good £200-300. Only a microscope would identify differences, but to the naked eye it would be impossible to tell.
This forum really is buzzing, and it's a shame BMW don't recognise this as official 3-series BMW community - because it's definitely worthy. Good luck! |
