Can not reset RFT warning

Did a search but could not find a clear answer. I have a screw in one of my rear RFT's, took it to dealer and they ordered the tire (I have the road hazzard protection). Filled the tire to 36psi and tried to "init" but the warning will not go out even temporarily. Is this usual? I assumed you could reset as long as the leak was slow. After sitting overnight the pressure was down to 34psi this AM just to give you an idea of the leak. I can't imagine the system is THAT sensitive. I've tried to re-init several times without any luck.

To reset the FTI you need to push the stalk button while the screen says init then push it again and hold it until you get a check mark next to init then drive. I think you hold it for 5 seconds or so.

when you have the init screen up you have to press and hold the button until the checkmark shows up

I had that problem too, went to the dealer and was shown how dumb I was

I didn't know you had to hold the button in for a couple seconds

Thanks, that worked. I tried holding it the first push and did not work. Holding the SECOND time did the trick. So, push once, then push and hold until the check mark comes up

Funny thing is that when I bought the car the dealer guy just pushed at the init prompt but did not hold. So that's what I tried also. I'm sure that at the time neither of us realized that we had actually done nothing! About six months into owning my car I checked the pressure on all tires and they were ALL low. I had not checked earlier because I assumed the system would let me know. Now it makes sense. At that time, I inflated the tires and set the init (somehow correctly by pure luck because this time it warned me about the drop in pressure which was still higher than before I put air in it)
