Cracked Winshield SoCAL help
Sadly over the entire weekend a couple of rocks crack my windshield, the one on saturday wasn't too bad but left a 6 inch crack and the one one sunday looks like someone just took a couple punches with their fist at my window.
Anyways I'm looking to have the windshield replaced, as I'm pretty sure these cracks can't be repaired as much as I wish they could be. I've done my search and read the many threads on cracked windshields, but the problem I'm having is finding a place to have it done. I've checked a few, including safelite, which have gotten there quotes but the problem for me is I would like to get an OEM replacement. I know I've read that people are saying the aftermarket ones might be stronger, but I'd still prefer to get an OEM replacement. So, if anyone knows of any places, which are not the dealership (last option for me), around SoCAL more specifically around the 909 area code that uses OEM replacements and does quality work, please help a member out Thanks in advance

I replaced my windshield when the car was 1 month old. A bunch of rocks flew off a truck on the 5 freeway. At the time, the dealer did not even have the OEM windshield in stock yet so I called around and found Kotto Auto Glass. They came to my home and did the installation using the OEM glass. I am very picky and they did an excellent and clean job. I would recommend them. The number is 800-810-4933. Good luck!

I did not go through my insurance, I paid it myself. All I remember was that is was at least $300 less than the dealers who did not even have the glass in stock.
