Lease a 335i now or wait for 2010 Model?

My 330i lease is up next month and I'm looking to lease a 335i. I'm trying to decide, from a cost perspective only, if I should pull the trigger now or wait for a 2010. My assumption is that the residuals for the 2010 MY will be much better than they are now for the 2009. Assuming there's no price increase and the money factor stays the same, a 2010 may actually be cheaper to lease. Any thoughts from the experts out there?

Unfortunately, I have to order one because I want some uncommon options such as sun shades and park distance control, so once the 2010's come out I can't order a 2009.

The BMW factory closes in August and starts building again in September. Delivery to the states is in October.

MF's are more likely to increase with the "recovering" economy. While the residuals will be better the inflated rates defeat any savings. There is also the credit for the Auto trani now that will most likely go away with the new MY. That trani credit is good for about 32 bucks a month in a lease payment

That's a valid point, but I want a 6-speed manual so the auto-trani credit doesn't help me :-(

I'm in the same boat with the lease on my 325i ending in September. I'm pretty sure I'm going with a 335i coupe and will just order a 2009 this month.

Sounds like the only reason to wait till 2010 is to get a 2010. sooner the better as far as I'm concerned. Doesn't look like they are gunna add to the current production options for 2010 and if they do, it'll probably be a March build next year. So you can wait and wait and wait. Or Drive Drive Drive

why don't you assume someone else's lease via leasetrader.com etc and they re-evaluate in 2010. You can certainly find a decent lease with 6-18 months remaining...it's a pretty low commitment level.

I looked but I haven't been able to find a 6-speed with at least Power, Sport, and Nav. There's a lot of auto trannies out there, believe it or not.
