how do i get the best price on a 328i lease?
hello fellow bimmer friends! how much over invoice will a dealership actually accept ,i hear its 5% over invoice , theyre making money even at 3% , so far im at $512+TAX MONTHLY payments on a 36 month lease with 0 down. 2010 328i with prem pkg,comfort access,ipod ,rear fold down,auto trans,rear shade,msrp is $41,600
anybody know how the numbers work on a lease from the sales end . i do i get the lowest money factor ? what i need to do to get the best cap reduction? help thanks! |

I am 16 and i am looking for a car to buy also and here is the thing. It all depends how much you put down, how many months the lease is and how many miles per year, my brother got a brand new 328i (e90) in 2007 for $480 with tax and 0 down, but its a BASIC package, btw i think that for every option that you add each $1000 adds 15$ to your monthly payment i believe. BTW for 40K car i think your just better of getting a basic 335i then a loaded 328i. Good luck.

Word. The stealerships tend to get a bit snobby when you don't want to much down. They act like you don't have any business buying there; of course I wouldn't tell them I could have paid cash if I wanted to. Anyone who has money and is financially savvy knows that cash down on a car is cash down the toilet. That being said, I ended up putting down 5k. And with the proper leveraging got the sale price about $1500 under invoice, plus $900 more than they wanted to give on my Acura.

their rent on the land is high compared to other locations. they're right by the freeway in calabasas... i was able to get my e93 for 1200 less at Valencia BMW then Bob Smith When I showed the salesman at bob smith my quote he told me to not waste time there and go straight to Valencia cause bob smith just cant do it...they pay higher rent, higher taxes to the city, higher commission to their salesman... all costs that are transferred to the customer Riverside I'm sure is the same... middle of no-where kind of lol so I'm sure they have less rent and taxes i love bob smith, great people there.. just not the best deals. regarding a lease: put as LITTLE down as possible. if you get in an accident, the insurance company will pay you what the car is worth at time (like any other incident) and we all know a car is less more in time... so putting 4k down now is 4k lost because that 4k will be worth 2k in time.... try to put no more than 2k DRIVE off, meaning licensing, 1st month payment, etc etc. a 328 shouldn't be too bad.... btw, on a lease, the PRICE of the car is not that important, it's the money factor and residual and such also depends on their programs When we got my grandpas C350, the lease was 1800 drive off $460 a month. a comparable C300 was 1800 drive off 430 a month... so 30 more a month and you get a car that costs significantly more.... my moms SLK lease costs less than my cousins 335i coupe lease even though her car costs 8k more... 1800 down 530 a month vs 6k down 560 a month... BIG different no? even though the bmw costs less MSRP, it costs more to lease... so the PRICE of the car is not what matters. its their deals/options and what not (a X3, for gods sake, was like 700 a month lease in June, down to 600 something for July..., which costs more, a X3 or a 335i?.. 335i...) |

i agree just from comparing their newspaper ads Calabasas and B.Smith are have higher prices though the service maybe good im willing to go further away like Valencia its true about the deals and overhead etc. thanks for the feedback.

yes your familly members got good monthy payments, ,i understand that a low payment means a high residual , the money factor and price of the car is what determines if you really are getting a good deal. then again if u dont plan to buy the car at lease end who cares what the pay off is.

Buying a car there... experience wasn't good :/ not many on staff, boring show room... but i wanna apply to work there cause I know someone there lol maybe i can make it better lol IMHO, if you have even the SMALLEST urge or thought that you are going to buy the car at the end, DO NOT LEASE. You will end up paying more no matter what. When my family leases cars, the buyout means nothing since we're not going to keep it. We didn't lease my 335i because 1) leases suck on 335i convertibles 2) I don't want to be limited to a specific mileage my payments are 709 with 2k down for 60 months with a ballon end payment of 20k. if i were to have leased, it would have been 2k down 800 something a month.... yes i wouldnt have the 20k at the end but I would also have to return the car and not keep it and drive only 12k miles a year.... if you're gonna drive, don't lease. my cousin has only 3k miles left on his car with 8 months to go... its anywhere between 20 to 25 cents a mile and it really adds up... CAREFULLY consider your decision before you get ANY car |
