ugh. it's soo frustrating getting pulled over by the cops..

the other night i was pulled over aroudn 12AM. they called for backup like 3 cop cars. then they asked me if i drank i said no. and he made me step out of my car and body searched me without a soberity test.. clearly i didn't drink.. then the back up cop made me sit on the curb and started bashing my car saying how im a 20 yr old driving bmw. how there's curbage on the rims. i told him i curbed it while parallel parking. and he just said "you should stop parallel parking if you can't park." and saying my car is dirty.. totally irrelivant..

then at the end. they just have to make up a reason and give me a ticket for speeding..

this is ridiculous.. i mean im just some normal asian guy driving a bmw. i know they're doing their job and all. but man. they seriously have to not be such ass about it.

atleast they didnt hit your car. a cop pulled me over for speeding, stood infront of it and did all these weird hand signs. then he hit my hood and told me to pull up e brake. im like wtf!?!?

Its funny that you guys are only listening to only one side of the story. People that get caught doing something illegal end up getting mad at the cops for doing there job. Its not because you are asian and driving a bmw, its because you were speeding why you got pulled over. And for them to talk about you and your car he could of be just making conversation with the other officers and you over heard him. Its not like he said you are a piece of shit. Grow up people, cops are doing there jobs and without them you wouldn't be able to drive late at night in a nice car and not get car jacked or something worst. Stop bashing police officers for they have a job to do, which is too protect and serve.

if he HIT your car, you could, in theory, take him to court.. but winning... that's another story.. and if you DO win, all the cops in the area will hate you and you'll then be hunted down.

since that cop talked you down you can claim emotional discomfort and stress and take him to civil court. THAT you can win easier.

sounds like a typical LA officer. i got pulled over with a couple of my buddies in thousand oaks by a UC patrol car. we did nothing to even get pulled over aside from it being a fixed up honda. it was 3 of us and they had us all get out the car. called for 3 back up squad cars. searched it, ask questions and made us lift up our shirts to see if we had any tats. the hispanic officer was being the asshole and talking to us like he is all hood. asking me if im from the southside. these cops are really abusing their authority. saying they pulled us over because there has been a ring of home invasions in the area and we on the 101 fwy, not anywhere near a neighborhood.

thankfully cops don't even mess with me in the BMW. even though i look like a teenage asian guy, sometimes i wait just to see if they have a reason to pull me over.

sorry about the unfortunate mishap though man!

not all us are in the army, although its GREATLY appreciated what you do for us, but we don't get the same benefits that you do. ( example: when you got pulled over on the way to bimmerfest and let go with a warning because you were in the army, most of us would have gotten a ticket).

i wasn't pulled over per say. just made me roll down my window and yelled at me. i didn't pull pull out my military id or anything, so ur judgement is wrong for this incident. it was just pure luck this time around.

Yeah I agree with this, even coming from a white guy. I used to get pulled over/tailed almost every time I would see a cop when I was driving my '02 F150 Lightning....it was literally like a magnet for trouble. Since getting the 335 it's like night and day, cops don't look twice at my car and I've even been given the benefit of the doubt by the cops multiple times where as in my truck I was always guilty until proven innocent in their eyes......

ehhh...they def take it too far sometimes and take too much advantage of their power. give me ONE reason why the cop would be bashing the OP about him driving a BMW. there is no "other side" to that. thats called being a big fat bully lol and an annoying ass

i partially agree with what has been said.

One hand the car is rather invisible to most cops. For example, if you're driving home on a friday night at 3 AM and there's a ford taurus right next to you, chances are the cop is gonna pull over the Ford. I guess they feel like the driver of the more expensive car must be a little more responsible than the driver of the cheaper car.

Conversely, there are some cops who will fuck with you just becasue they can.
Last week my brother and I went on a road trip to Phoenix. About 75 miles east of Flagstaff I look into my rear view mirror and see a cop riding my ass. I wasn't speeding (75 mph speed limit and i had cruise set to 80 mph), but the guy still pulls me over. He comes up to the window and says " you know why i pulled you over?" to which I honestly replied "no". He then proceeded to ask me if I lived in New Mexico, which I confirmed, and then finally told me why I'd been stopped. "your tint looks a little dark..."
He pulled out his tint checker thing and concludes that my tint is in fact 16% and well over the minimun ticketing level. (they cant ticket above 10%).
After a few minutes he tells me his hands are tied and that he "gotta let me off with a warning this time" and that "next time I go though his state i better have my tint within legal Arizona limits.
Once again, there wasnt civilization within 50 miles in any direction...

hey man not like i was being a jerk or anything i was talking polite. i dont' dress like im from the hood. infact. there's no neigborhood for miles..

body search is kinda ridiculous.. does it look like im gonna be speeding with a butch knife in my hand? i can understand thinking that im drunk driving but im not. they didn't even put soberity test but a body serach...

and what's with the attitude like comon.. i drive a beamer you drive a charger.. you got liek 200hp gain on me.. i dont' go up to some civic driver and rub it in their face?
