Thanks George!

What's your or Todd's take on cleaning and protecting the brushed 335i/328i OEM tips? I used an SOS pad, and rubbed away some of the finish from scrubbing so hard...

OEM Ferrari F430 tips also have this brushed aluminum look.

I just did mine, not in the same manner, but I cleaned and polished them and wow does it make a difference. It really does add just that 'touch of class' it needs.

I use Eagle One Wadding Polish on mine. They're not chrome on the LCIs though, some form of matte metal. Works well though.

For more delicate finishes like this, I'll approach it the same way as polishing paint...take the least aggressive method first and work my way up as needed. With a brushed finish, be sure to clean/polish with the grain of the finish. For brushed stainless steel, a light Scotchbrite pad with the grain works very well.

Hope this helps.
