FS: Lci 2009 Idrive control knob !! SOLD
Hi, i got for sale an original like new idrive knob for the new Lci idrive that was tested on 3 cars /one 2007 and two 2008/ and fully working WITHOUT any mods on 2007-2008 models with the old Idrive system. All buttons are lighted and working with the old idrive I made my self this mod and it's really one of the best mods ever made on my car !!! Price: 169$ including Postage and Paypal SOLD Last edited by frenchi; 08-10-2009 at 10:21 AM.. |

I hadn't heard about this. So it just plugs right into the 2007 iDrive?
Is it the same shape as the original one or do you have to grind your center trim peice? Is it the same connector as the original, or did you make a converter? I guess what I'm asking is when you say you made the mod yourself, what exactly did you change on this unit, and what am I going to have to change on my car, a 07 335i E90 Sedan? |

yes everything works without any mods...connector is the same and absolutely all buttons work without a single issue also the night this knob is fully lighted so it's very cute for your interiour !
All you have to do is swap your center trim or you can just cut it to fit the new unit /i just ordered the center trim and it was a direct plug and play ! / Check my thread : http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...light=Lci+knob |

It's been discussed in M3Post. Some succeed retrofit w/o any software issue and some are having issue. And found out that 05/08 or later built works fine w/o any software updates. (at least for M3s).

by the way, we (in the united states) can get it for 195 from Tischer.
So you may lower your price. =) http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462

This knob has two different hardwear revisions first one wich is the one that i am selling will work on 2007 and 2008 cars /we tested on 10/2007 car and it works/ ! The second hardwear revision will work only on newest cars and that one you can actually buy from Bmw because they don't have a stock of old hardwear knob My car is an 02/2008 and this knob worked plug and play without any update. |

anyone know if this would work on an 03/2007 build? I believe 03/2007 build was the first with the one button shortcut (the one button menu under the idrive knob)
Also any idea how much the trim costs and where I'd be able to get it? |
