hi i am really confused on this topic and i want to have some clear answers
so i am too lazy to apply on wax on my 325i so i use the spray on wax (the ones that you spray on to a wet surface then wipe of) or the bmw express wax from the dealer every time i wash my car (every other week). my question is would just protect the paint? (i know it wont look as good but im too lazy just want to protect the clear coat/paint) thanks.

That stuff is essentially QD (quick detailer) and doesn't really protect against anything. If you want protection on the paint, you need a sealant (applied every 3-4 months). You can top this with a wax if you want, but it's not required.

what over the counter sealer do u recommand? (dont want to order online)
i use the bmw nano-wax (or watever they call it), dun know if thats any good

if your lazy you can try Optimum Opti-Seal

its an easy application with great results.

OptiSeal works but really only on a clean surface.

Since, you're lazy and don't really care about the car but just some protection. Go to Pep Boys or Advanced Auto and get some NXT Spray Wax or Quick Wax from Meguiar's. Decent shine and protection and cheaper than the BMW stuff your buying

for spray wax, you use it after you clean your car. the best one i've used up til now is optimum spray wax

another good one is duragloss aquawax which you can find OTC
