Need some Lease end help
Hey all, I've got another question I'd like to shoot out there, to gather some input on the matter.
I've got a 3 series on a 2 yr lease which is ending in 2 months and I want to know if it's possible to extend it for another year for a reasonable amount? Anyone have experience with this? I did this with my other MB last year she was a 27 month lease and it got extended to a 36 month lease with a modest 60 dollar bump in payment. I'm curious to know what bmw offers and also if I end up turning the vehicle in, can I turn it in say a week or two early to avoid the registration fees since I'm in essence going to be paying registration and then turning the thing in? This registration thing applies to both th e MB and Bimmer , the MB is due in 3 week along with the registraiton. Thanks for any help

Considering the high residual value you have on that lease from 2 years ago, they will want to offset some of the losses they will take when you return that car.
I just returned my 335i that was on a 2yr lease as well, and the residual was crazy like $32k. That car was only worth $23-25k max. Your payment will be much higher! |

I don't think they will change your current contract. you might be able to tell them that you have an order placed and you would like to extend your lease. Your payments will be the same. And you can do that for 6 months. You are probably better off getting into a new 3 year lease and then getting out via swap a lease or something.

thanks for the input guys, got another question. I was in essence trying to avoid the whole putting time aside to find the car work out a deal etc etc etc. will extending the lease for 6 months put me in any obligation of having to get into another car at the end of 6 months or will I be able to do some other extension type deal?
Also any idea as to the registration questions and what the legalities are concerning it? thanks for any ideas!!

You can only extend the lease month to month if you have another car on order with BMW.
