My cousin has a black one. Its a beast, he says its one of the fastest cars he's driven and he had an M3 and his dad currently has a Viper and a Bentley...however, NOW the Viper is a Hennessey Viper with 700+ hp. So I think NOW the Viper is the fastest car he's driven lol.

They are also very cheap, go on ebay and buy one for not much outlay.

The stock SRT-8's aren't all that fast, especially from a roll since they're very heavy (>5,000lbs.), AWD and poor aerodynamics (aka "the frying brick"). However, their AWD does give them GREAT launching capabilities; many cut 1.6-1.7 60ft's all day long. Also the Jeep SRT-8's can be easily modded to become major MONSTERS!!! Many of those SRT-8's in that video are highly modded.

One thing I found funny in that video was at ~ 4:05, there's a Jeep SRT-8 doing around 120mph with the "Check Engine" light on!!!!

One of my friends has one, and it is an absolute monster! The only thing that I wish they had was an MT option (yes, I know, MT in an SUV, but it would be sick!) The Alcantara in the seats really hold you in place, it's almost hard to get out of them. Such an impressive SUV, I would take one over a Cayenne Turbo anyday.

I'm pretty sure a Viper of any Gen is faster.

They are, he told me the GC srt8 is one of the fastest cars he's driven...not the fastest car hes driven. The Viper has 700+ hp and loses traction in every gear if you floor it...its sick

Just seems like drag racing a Jeep is wrong. It should have mud all over it and be climbing over rocks.

I feel the same way when I see a Range Rover/Hummer on dubs and you can see more chrome than paint.

thats like saying id rather use a jet ski instead of a speedboat. if you think the srt8 is stupid, you must hate the upcoming XxM, ML63, Cayenne Turbo, etc.
