Halford pressure washer question
I have a Halfords pressure washer this one:
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...Id_165689#dtab I seem to have misplace the user manual so i thought i would ask on the forum, basically i can add car shampoo to this pressure washer and foam the car with the gun...it does have a compartment on the washer that i can unscrew and add the shampoo but i really dont want to do this wrong so does anyone know how much shampoo i should add? i use autoglym car shampoo. also how do i change the washer from spraying the foam to just water? sorry if the above may sound silly but i really dont have a clue!

There's a manual on that page......
If its anything like a karcher jet wash, the foam only comes out when the lance is on low pressure (collar twisted to 'low') no soap comes out on high pressure. |

I have the 1500 version of that one and, as far as I know, you won't get the "covered in foam" effect you see on Detailing World. The 1500 has a shampoo bottle which goes on the end of the lance and it is useless for foaming.
Also, try a 1:1 mix water/shampoo. If yours does foam well, that's all you'll need. I got a foam master from Clean Your car with the Kew/Alro adaptor which fits a Halfords lance. This is the result! |

For a company hack or not-so-special car then I would use these washes, for a fiver it's a no-brainer.

I would be very careful about using a pressure washer on a decent car. The high pressure can scratch just from the tiny bits if grit on the car. It can also remove the lacquer on wheels. If you are really careful (and I'm sure you are) - its OK, but it is a risk.
