BMS Single Filter Cleaning

How do you guys clean your BMS filter, or any airfilter for that matter?

Just looked at my BMS single, and its filthy.

i used the k&n recharge kit i think it was like $20 bucks

1.uninstall the intake

2. get a hose ready

3.spray the k&n degreaser aloooooooot of it all over the inside and outside of the intake

4.let it sit for like 20 seconds

5.get the hose and hose down the inside and outside of the intake

6.this is optional....spray the pink recharge until it turns the shade of pink you like

7.let the pink recharge oil dry in the sun for 1-1 half hours.

thats what i did and it worked out pretty good for me.

Can you get the kn filter kit locally or does it have to be ordered online?

No offense, but almost none of that is correct.....especially the oil being "optional".

Edit - assuming it is a k&n or similar filter.

sorry to burst your bubble buddy but those instructions are for a drop in air filter not a bms intake witch is round and hollow.

You could buy a recharge kit at any autozone, advanced autoparts or pepboys

Definetly use the K&N cleaning kit.Soak the filter in the cleaning solution inside and out,let it soak in for about ten minutes. Then use your hose to clean the solution out spraying from the inside of the filter out until you get it all out and clean,Never use compressed air to dry it (NEVER)!Shake it out really well and let it sit in the sun if possible until dry. Then spray the pleats until they are all pink,(dont overspray it.Wait about half an hour, until it doesnt drip all over the place and re install. PERIOD!
