Chip repair in Chicago?
Hi Chicagoans -
As of tonight, I'm a new proud owner of an E90 335i. ![]() It looks like the original chip went all the way to the paint (or deeper). It's only a few mm in circumference though so hopefully won't be too difficult to repair. Thanks- |

Use touch up paint and call it a day. There's no point in repairing minor chips, because they're bound to reappear... what are you gonna do, bring it to shop every time you get a chip?
With touch up paint... couple dabs here and there and DONE! $12 vs $150

If it was just a surface scratch, I'd let it go. It looks like the chip went through the original paint and was already touched up. Given the harsh winters in Chicago, I want to be sure this doesn't become a bigger problem w/ rust etc.
