Fog lights on all the time?

Hi folks
Is it possible modify the fog lights so they turn on automatically when you start up the car, the way the daytime running lights do?
thanks

exactly - it looks way cooler with the fogs on and since the lights are left on day & night it saves you the pain (well not really) of turning them on everytime you get in the car

so BMW tells me that when you switch the fog lights on it automatically turns on the xenon headlights too. since the xenon headlights are rated for only a certain number of hours, they're not designed to be left on all the time. according to them you can't modify the two so they operate independently.

I dont think that is the case. If you turn your switch to your parking lights, it turn on the dash lights, rear lights and allows you to turn your fogs on. It does not turn on the xenon's but simply keeps the DRL's on.

it would be similar to the Vista DRL harness

That's correct, I've noticed the same thing with mine as well. I have an 09 model, so not sure if it applies to earlier models.

yes. the driving light allows angels to be run on the sedan and allows fogs to be turned on. xenon's will not turn on

Cool...can you drive in the dark and fog with just the foglights and parking lights? That's actually how fog lights are supposed to work.

yup my 06 is like that aswell!

sometimes BMW just say whatever they want.. why would the xenons go on automatically if you put your fogs on? Just like the person up there said^ you wouldn't put fogs+xenons on if there was actually fog you'd only need the fog lights

but yh fog lights on permanently would be pretty cool
