After Break-In Oil Change - Feels WORSE?

Changed my oil after about 3000 miles at the dealer. Now the idle is rougher and it seems like my fuel mileage is worse. =S Any ideas?

changing oil would have zero effect on those things. It would have to be something else.

You performed a pre-mature drain of the BMW break in oil that comes in all our cars. As a result the engine is experiencing more friction, causing glazing of the cylinder walls and a tremendous amount of blow-by. I suspect your fuel pump will fail within the next 1k miles. (in otherwords,...don't worry about it).

It's either something else came up (like an impending HPFP failure), or your mind is playing you.

If anything, the oil change would make it a little bit better. Are you getting any kind of Check Engine Light?
