That car is
They don't need many options - most are standard. It already has extended leather, heads up display, prof nav, logic 7 hifi, adaptives, etc.. with bluetooth added. |

I have a model of an M6 in Sepang bronze.
I love it. Although It needs black leather though! Check this M5 in Sepang.

Mob man!
You can guess my thoughts. Has that M6 taken most of it's depreciation hit then? |

You'll love it...
...for a bit... ...then hate it, I reckon. It's one of those amazing cars gets under your skin and shouts 'buy me, buy me' until you weaken and do! I very nearly got an M5 so went through the same motions. It's not necessarily the cost that gets you but the frequency of fuel stops eventually wear you down and the 'waste' of cash slipping through your fingers on a car. I learnt my lesson with the Maserati so lukckily I aborted the idea. That said it's nice knowing I've owned a Masser so sod it just get the M6 and live a little. Just make sure you dont get trapped with any finance so you can get rid quickly if you need/want to.

Who am I to put anyone off an M6...whatever anyone says, if you want one you will get one! They are incredible machines that can outperform 99% of cars on the road.
Buy one at the right price, enjoy it and when the gearbox and slow Gen 1 iDrive get the better of you, you'll be able to sell it without losing a load of money (indeed, it's the only car I've ever sold for significantly more than I paid for it ) |

Really?? Did you pay a lot for it?
Had I bought the 58 plate one I was originally looking at for £55k I too would have lost a load. Luckily, I listened to advice and bought my '06 plate one for £35.8k and sold it for £37.5k....well, it didn't even take any effort to sell it as I sold it back to a BMW dealer! It's now on the AUC site at £39,980. Theres not a lot of margin in that for them (or not as much as I thought there would be). Last edited by Palmnuts; 10-01-2009 at 03:33 PM.. |

It appears so...especially as I didn't even buy a car off them.
Might have had something to do with my next door neighbour. He works for our local Merc dealer and I was going to buy a new C63 off him. He offered me the £37.5k for the M6 and 5% off the new Merc. Then I found the storming deal on the ex-demo one I bought but only got offered £36k as a trade-in. I wasn't too fussed about this as it still meant I didn't lose any money but when I explained to my neighbour that I wasn't buying the car off him, he still offered to take the M6 off my hands as the BMW dealer in his group (Inchcape) wanted it. I slipped him a ton for helping me out...I couldn't believe my luck! I also felt guilty for not buying my new motor off him! To be fair, there was nothing that needed doing on the M6 at all...it was given to BMW in better condition than they could ever hope to prep a car for a customer, was just serviced and had good tyres. |

Yes, here it is....
http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/auc/car_d...EH92030CG99764 That is my old car but they have taken off the Schnitzer splitters (understandable as thats a matter of taste) and put the car back to normal height (bloody crazy...it looks like it's on stilts with standard springs) |

Maybe they fitted the 'special' springs fitted to E91 335 Diesel Estates - the ones with non M-sport, M-sport springs |
