Exclamation PROcede 10-9 6AT specific maps now online

See here.

Please read the documentation

Specifically:
Quote:
4) 6MT/6AT
Currently, there are two map folders. One is designated "6AT-6MT". The other one just "6AT". The 6AT-6MT maps were specifically designed to be used in both 6MT and 6AT applications. They offer very little, if any, high RPM boost taper. However, if the 6AT-6MT maps induce high rpm misfire in your 6AT, try the 6AT designated maps. These maps induce a moderate boost taper above 6500rpm and are less likely to cause misfire at the automatic shift point.
Cheers

Let me be the first to ask a stupid question. I presume the 6MT maps are unchanged, right?

So some AT misfires are caused by too much boost close to redline? Just exactly HOW much less boost are we AT guys getting towards the redline using the new AT map?

TIA

I really don't think too much boost was the cause for those outliners. I still think it has something to do with hardware issues (plug, coil, etc,.) or perhaps DME software issues. I'm only saying this because there are too many 6AT cars that are having no such issue with the universal 10-9 maps.

The 6AT specific 10-9 maps just drop boost by ~1pis above 6000rpm and 2-3 psi above 6500rpm. Nothing extreme. Depending on feedback, I may adjust this a bit before it goes nonbeta. Hard to test this map when the regular map doesn't cause misfire in the 6ATs I have on hand.

^^ So by testing do you mean to see how much (if any) misfire is caused by one map over the other (AT-MT maps vs. AT maps)?

^^ LOL, I just meant that is the AT maps specifically for those outliers that experience misfire and not necessarily due to the coils and plugs?

Oh, and this is OT, but will there be a meth charge pipe kit for the few of us who has AA BOV?

TIA

Ah yes... it's just for them to use if the regular universal map is giving them high rpm misfire (during the upshift).

Does it replace the rubber elbow?? If it does, then no, I wont have a solution for them. They'll just have to weld a bung in themselves.

Ya it does, it's a whole charge pipe eliminating the OEM rubber elbow all together. So now all I have is the AA BOV charge pipe connecting to my FMIC pipe with a silicone hose.......Guess I'm SOL.

On the Vishnu forums page it says not to run map 2 as it is highly tuned for meth. Does that mean that if my wife gets in the cars and somehow accidentally actives map two through the DTC the car may incur some damage? OR... can i make the map somehow not that aggressive?

Thanks

No it will be fine. I purposely set the user adjustable defaults to make the map very detuned. For max power (on meth and race gas), you'll need to run User Torque in the 90-95% range and ignition correction at 0%. The default is, IIRC, 60% user torque and 100% which should make it even more conservative than Map1.
