my baseline dyno results. what you guys think?
280RWHP and 302RWTQ, this is on a DYNOMITE dyno. compared this dyno to what my c6 put down (328TQ AND 340HP) on the same dyno. do my numbers seem high? i was expecting around 230hp/tq to the wheel. i guess maybe what people say (bmw under reports its stats) might be true after all?
anyway, car was bone stock (took it in for dealer service today) and now back goes in the JB3, K&N drop in, hks bov with pipe. im sure the bov/drop in filter arent good for any hp gains. but im guessing on map 3 and 91 octane i gain about 50rwhp/tq, putting me really close the the vette numbers. this was just under 8psi on my aftermarket boost guage. BIG THANKS TO BRAD@PSI MOTORS FOR GIVING ME DYNO ADVICE. i will post when i get the results from the jb3. also just ordered catless dp's this gonna be fun. I put down 277 RWHP 286 TQ on a DynoJet stock with a 4th gear pull .. so to me the TQ seems high, but HP seems right on ... no idea how that dyno compares to a DynoJet or a Mustang dyno though

As long as you use the same dyno for all your mods it doesnt matter. A dyno is just tool to measure gains and tune with. No one ever talks about Brave men and their Dynoslol Track numbers are what matters and yours are great for that altitude so you are doing great man. cant wait to see what you do with the DP's on Map 7 or 9 with race gas

heheh im going to do probably map 9 if i dare when i take the car to vegas next month to run it (13th), i will be about 2,000 ft lower altitude and have a track that hopefully will be able to hook on. im hoping 12.5 will be attainable.

340 WHP that is. Considering a 15% drivetrain loss on the Vette (just an estimate, don't know how much loss you exactly have on Corvettes) you calculate: 340 / (1-0.15)= 400 hp at the crank.

I think I still have the highest baseline dyno out there... I want to see what other cars do on that same dyno. Only part that sux is that guy moved into a new shop and hasn't set up his dyno there yet so I lost my baseline.

+1.. it's more important to see what you're actually gaining from mods
