I've got to HAVE these Oakleys!!
I'm a fan of Oakley sunglasses. I just like the way look and fit, and being made in the good old USA doesn't hurt either.
Today I got an email about their new "Elite" line. I just have to find a way to get my hands on a pair of these badass sunglasses!! http://www.oakley.com/pd/6409/23698 These are The price however is

Ridiculous doesn't even come close to being the most accurate adjective......
That's cool. All kinds of sunglasses out there to meet everyone's tastes. I've got a pair of Canteen's for the BMW (non-polarized Ice Iridium....) and a pair of Half Jacket's (polarized Black Iridium) in my other car. I wear contacts as well, so sometimes I wear regular glasses. I'd like to add a pair of these to collection with prescription lenses. Oakley has discontinued them however...

You've gotta be kidding me....
$4K..... For sunglasses? Lol I was thinking more like $250. Jesus, I can think of a quick $4K in mods that I'd rather have or about a billion other things.

75 layers of carbon fiber that are laid into a mold then cured. This is followed by 20 to 30 hours of machining PER PAIR! Add in some beta-titanium (memory metal) and you've got yourself a $4,000 pair of sunglasses.
That's the theory anyway....

Those overpriced luxury sunglasses like D&G are just style and name. There's no optical quality in them. Oakley's are all about superior optics. Compare them side by side and you'll notice a difference. These are real tests that all Oakley's have to pass: http://www.oakley.com/innovation/opt...ity/hdo/proven http://www.oakley.com/innovation/opt...act_protection I've seen all these tests done in their labs and none of it is exaggerated.

I love my oakleys. I have these..
I wanna get some new lenses for them though. Thinking black iridium polarized or VR28's polarized. I would have expected the glasses the OP posted to be in line with this price point at $335-500. Guess not LOL Nothing but oakleys for me.

Do it! Their glasses kick ass just as much as their sun glasses. I love my pair of wires.
