HP Autowerk's project 335i will be competing in the Street RWD class this coming Sunday at Auto Club Raceway.

Not looking to place in the top three since competition is very tough, but is shooting for the title of fastest BMW in the class!

Harold, it was nice to meet you yesterday. I was too busy working the tech and grid the entire day, so I didn't have a chance to watch your driver ripping it out on the track. Oh, and congrats on the 3rd place in the Street RWD class.

It was nice meeting you as well.

"Ripping it" is right! He pulled off a 1:52.811 on our project 335i in Street RWD class for a 3rd place finish, that is impressive! Consider the competition is mostly fully aero cars with 500 lbs less weight or more. I think the car is capable of 1:50 flat with some fine tuning, and that should put us in 1st place! We were losing considerable time in the in-field because of traction problems(not able to put the power down, GIAC did a good job!). On the straight we hit the 160 mph mark, at least that is all the speedo can read.
