Educate me on light modifications ... got some of it, but still missing some info.

Okay, what I've got so far:

Fog lights, if I wanted HID I'd need a H11 conversion kit, which seems like mtec is the predominate, but a couple of people are getting errors. Or I could just replace with H11 halogen. Yes or no?

High beams (aka flashers/drl), H7 halogen bulb, appears to be a pain in the ass to replace if you've already got bi-xenon (I do).

Stock HIDs, here's where my info gets sketchy. If I already have bi-xenon can I just replace the bulb? Is it a D1S bulb, or is it different? How hard is it to replace, simple plug and play (I admit I haven't even popped the hood to look) or more involved?

My biggest question is what are the best brands, and where are the best places to shop for this stuff?

Is PIAA better than Luminics for H7, or should I keep Luminics for both H7 and H11 to match if I just replace the fog with another halogen?

BTW, I'm doing "3000k" (did I get that right?) for the french/jdm yellow look all around. Right now I know I'm doing fogs and drl, and just debating on implications of doing the HID bulb to make everything the same or leave it 4500k.

Last question, what happens to the angel eyes when you change the color range of the lights? I've never looked, are they just picking up glow from the headlights or do they have a seperate bulb too?

Best HID H7 H11 combo

>> Im going for silverstar H11, they look pretty decent, dont want to spend 300 for Mtec. But im buying Mtec for my low beams H7

High beams (aka flashers/drl), H7 halogen bulb, appears to be a pain in the ass to replace if you've already got bi-xenon (I do).

>> leaving my High Beams as is, I've heard it take 1 min for HID to warm up is that true? You cant really use your High Beams to flash someone ( i flash my friend if im wanna get his attention when following him, i dont flash random people, not in the hood i live in )

>> I've never read about that? The DYI in this forum by long tran, is that the correct procedure? I have regular halogen light? Will that be easier?

Is PIAA better than Luminics for H7, or should I keep Luminics for both H7 and H11 to match if I just replace the fog with another halogen?

>> rumors say PIAA is the best

>> I like the color in 6000k, does anyone know what bulbs are in the Mercedes CLS 500 ? Those lights are beautiful

Last question, what happens to the angel eyes when you change the color range of the lights? I've never looked, are they just picking up glow from the headlights or do they have a seperate bulb too?

>> most popular is 6000K

Hope that HELPs, Help me answer my question too!
