I Drove a Jaguar XF Today
VERY impressed. Not enough to "drive" me away from BMW but I must say that it is quite elegant and actually FUN to drive. It was the 4.2 V8.

Impressive maybe, but having three cars only starting at $52,000.00, then $72,000.00, then $82,000.00 its hard to get into one, not saying that i want to, just saying i dont think its worth it.

It certainly looks good, but Jag's reliability will always send me running in the other direction.

A guy I work with has one of the supercharged versions, it is a beautiful car! I think it was about the 3rd day I saw it in the parking lot, it had the passenger door caved in. We have posts that stick out of the parking at the one end, I think he turned too early and hit one of the posts....had to suck. It would have made me sick!

There are quite a few here in Bucharest but to be honest I don't like them design-wise. Too toned down and bland from the original design concept. Also lots of chrome on some trims...no.

I drove it, and then the CTS-V.
I was actually more impressed with the caddy, even sans the engine advantage.

Do we still get the crappy old 4.2 V8 here? So odd that anyone would pick it over the new 5.0. I do like the XF, but I wish they'd done what they did with the XJ and used more aluminum to keep the weight down.
Re. Jag reliability, aren't they right up there with Lexus these days?

They topped J.D. Power's Reliability survey awhile back. Yes, More reliable then a Lexus.

I love the look of that car, might drive one just for fun but it would have to blow me away to purchase one.

Shows you how worthless JD Power's is. Ridiculous! Jag's reliability is awful. It's a fact.

Wait until the F30 5-series comes out next year. The Jag won't seem that impressive all of a sudden. At least old Jags had distinctive styling and a kind of British "aristocratic" appeal that made them unique. Contemporary Jags are just nice Fords.

Just going by history here dude. There's absolutely no denying that Jag's reliability has been completely horrendous in very recent history. Maybe that's changing now - cool. But it takes more than a few decent cars for a company to earn back a reliability rating, in my opinion.
While I still believe most of JD Power's surveys and ratings are completely pointless, here are some facts: Jaguar tops JD Power's Performance and Design Ratings - nothing else. For 2009, Jag was rated poorly for anything to do with quality. http://www.jdpower.com/autos/ratings...tings-by-brand According to that chart, they are no where near tops in quality. Chevy, Ford, Honda, Benz, Jeep, GMC, BMW, Porsche, Volvo, Audi, Acura, Hyundai, etc etc - essentially every other major automaker - exceeds Jag's quality in JD Power's tests. Don't let clever marketing fool you.
