Detailer's Domain: 993 Turbo - Ext/Int
Probably my all time favorite Porsche, I really enjoy doing 993's. They are challenging yet extremely rewarding! This car was in mint condition 9,000 miles! It just needed some polishing and jeweling. As a last step we used Menzerna topped with Swissvax Divine
A thorough interior cleaning to finish it off. Here is what was done on the car: Exterior - Wheels were prepped with P21S Wheel Gel and cleaned up with various brushes - Tires were spritzed down with P21S Total Autowash and washed down - Wheel wells were spritzed down with P21S Total Autowash and washed down - Wash down and rinsed - Door jambs were cleaned up - Claying - Dried - Paint inspected and measured - Wheels protected with Swissvax Autobahn - Tires dressed with Swissvax Pneu - 2 Step Paint correction - Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight - Paint sealed with Menzerna - Swissvax Divine - Rubber and Plastics Treated - Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed - Exhaust tips cleaned Interior Detail - All interior surfaces cleaned and prepared, including glass, and all vinyl/plastic surfaces. - Carpets and upholstery vacuumed. -Leather surfaces are carefully cleaned, prepared and fed using the Leather Master Product List: Exterior: Lusso AutoBathe Uber Yellow Wash Sponge Swissvax Clay Bar and Optimum Instant Detail Spray and Gloss Enhancer Einszett Spray Wax Menzerna Super Intensive Polish Menzerna PO85RD Swissvax Divine Wheels and tires: Uber Wheel/Wheel Well/Tire/Engine Kit Interior: Uber Interior Kit Tools: Infratech 5300 Flex 3403 Makita Metabo The Uber Foam Pads (5.5inch) Tons of "Uber" Microfiber Towels Uber Drying Towels Brushes Gilmour Foam Gun Let's start with the interior first: Tommy vacuuming the car ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cleaning and dusting ![]() Leather cleaned /conditioned / protected Cleaned ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Conditioned/Protected ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Final wipe down ![]() Jambs cleaned ![]() ![]() ![]() Gummi on the seals ![]() Final shots ![]() ![]() ![]() Exterior: Before shots ![]() ![]() ![]() Wax on trim ![]() ![]() ![]() Wash Gilmour foam gun with Lusso Auto Bath ![]() ![]() ![]() Dan washing the car ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Before Wheels ![]() P21S on the wheels ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rinse ![]() Clay ![]() ![]() Final Rinse and Drying ![]() Wheels ready to be sealed and tires dressed ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Random shot ![]() Engine wipe down ![]() Paint measured/various light inspection ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Remember this was an outside shot prior to wash ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Masking the beast ![]() ![]() Polish Equipment used ![]() Jeweling out the car with PO85RD ![]() ![]() ![]() Shots of the rear fender after 2 steps of polishing ![]() ![]() ![]() Rear lights being polished ![]() Polishing out the whale tail ![]() ![]() After shots inside ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Final wipe down ![]() Final touches Black wow on the bumperettes/trim/side skirts ![]() ![]() ![]() Optimum Metal Polish on the tips Before ![]() After ![]() After shots ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Wow guys, nothing short of stunning! The 993 is a beautiful car.
![]() Thought of two questions while reading: 1) How do you remove old wax from plastic? Does Black Wow do it? I got some on the front license plate bracket of my old car years ago, and it never came off. Looked similar to the spot on that 993, so it reminded me to ask. ![]() 2) How do you guys like the 1Z Gummi? Is it just for protection, or is it a dressing too? If it helps freezing doors in the winter, that's reason enough to buy a bottle.

Curious. Do you think detailers take a little less car when washing the car because they're already going to polish out the existing imprefections and adding a couple via washing isn't the end of the world?

Wonderful work on my favorite Porsche in my favorite color. When I think Porsche, I think 993 Turbo. It's just the standard of what a Porsche should be.
