Does E92 PDC give graphical representation?
I've seen some pics where it appears to show the contours of the rear obstacles. Is this true? Anyone have pics?

If you have I-drive it does...just like the E90 and other BMWs (5,6,&7) but nothing like the pic above. Just a graphic with green, yellow, and red.

As said , the 3 series get the "radar" screen, if you have nav
The new X5 is the first car to get the new "smart" PDC that uses a camera and shows distances to different obsticles ect ect

There is an option that the dealer was telling me about for the E92 to install the camera at the back but dont think this has the graphic overlays like on the X5.

BMW info about reversing camera: Ensures maximum safety when reversing. As soon as reverse gear is selected the area behind the car is filmed with a wide angle of 131° by a camera in the luggage compartment lid. The image is then shown on the on-board monitor. |

And regarding your other post ... who would need a front camera? I would have assumed that the only camera you could buy would be a rear view one. |

It's for those situations when you're pulling out of a narrow garage or walled driveway into heavy traffic. Without the camera you have to drive half the car into the road before you can see the traffic. With the camera you just stick a couple of inches out and get a perfect view. Rather clever, for those who need it. |
