Recommended dealer for warranty service in SoCal
Recommended dealer for warranty service in SoCal
I see the stickied SoCal shop thread, but those are all independent shops. My 2008 is covered by CPO so for a few years I'll be going to a dealer for most service. Can someone recommend a particular dealership I should use for maintenance/warranty service? I'd like to establish a relationship with a knowledgeable service advisor and use that dealership exclusively. I live in the Hollywood/downtown L.A. area, and there are a ton of BMW dealers w/in driving range. Juts don't know which ones are solid and which are crappy. TIA!

stay away from McKenna BMW. Some others say Crevier Santa Ana isn't that great either and neither is Irvine BMW.
These should be fine: -New Century BMW in Alhambra -Long Beach BMW -Newport beach BMW (forgot the exact name but its in new port beach) |

cuz i brought my car in and it threw out JB codes, and they said Aaron, come get your car and pulled that out and clear codes then bring it back, we wont flag your car. Sterling BMW has my vote: SA - Ernie, Tech - Andrew Cox

Thanks to all for the suggestions. Based on positive comments and proximity, it looks like I'll be giving Pacific BMW in Glendale a try. I'll report back when I have some real world experience to share.
Going forward, I wonder if it might be worthwhile to use the forum's poll function to keep track of our experience with dealers within various geo areas. Maybe a poll ranking dealers in greater Los Angeles, others for Orange County, San Diego, and so on. Haven't had a chance to look at the poll app yet, so I'm not sure if this would be feasible. Just seems that more info will help us all make better decisions when it comes to choosing dealers for service. And it could light a fire under dealers that are ranked lower. Thoughts?

Hmm...there never seems to be clear consensus on any of these threads. Anyone know more about LB?

anyone ever banged either front wheel on the curb and had the bad vibrations afterwards? changed the rims out from staggered to non staggered and just switched the tires over. had alignment done and wheel balance on both the front tires. im not sure if i need to change out the tires or the one particular tire that hit the curb because there is damage there? when i go about 60 mph plus theres vibration and the steering wheel is slightly to the left when i drive but when i let go of the wheel the car still goes straight. any suggestions?
