Price negotiation room on CPO's?

Finally got rid of my truck and I'm now officially starting the search for a 335i. I've been toying with the ideas, you know buying from an individual, purchasing brand new, or going with a nice CPO 335i. I think the CPO road is the route I'm going to take, but I'm just curious as to how much wiggle room there is on CPO prices. I've been reading through the forums on the new models and how some are getting $4k-6k off, but I don't think that's realistically possible on CPO's. Just wondered if any of you out there had any advice/personal experience to share with me so when I head down to my dealership I'll know what I can ask for. My local dealership has an 07 335i sedan, 20k miles steptronic/sport/prem/comfort/convenience/adaptive cruise/idrive/logic 7/pdc, looks like all the goodies, certified pre-owned. Their original price was $33,410 and they have since dropped it down to $31,993. Which already seems like a fantastic price but I'm looking to take advantage of the 2.9% for 60 months and I'd like to get another few grand off. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance for any input you guys can give me!

If I recall, wasn't the financing for 07 335's 0.9%? But bump for you, I am curious as to what typically dealers will come down on CPO's...

There are a lot of factors that go into it but the main one is how badly does the dealer want to sell the car.

I bought my CPO'd car back in June and was able to get $3750 off the price of the car. When I was talking to the sales guy, I mentioned that I was ready to buy a car from a different BMW dealership but I wanted to see if he could work something out so I could buy it from him instead. When I told him where I was headed to buy it, he left and came back with $3500 off. The Manager explained they were willing to take less profit as long as the other dealership didn't get my business. I managed another $250 during the signing of the papers.

Whether this was true or it was just the dealer's ploy to get me to say "wow", I don't know but in the end, I got a great deal! That's what counts!!

yea it's 0.6 for 48 months and 2.9 for 60 months I believe. Monthly payment will be too high for me if I finance for 48 months. Either way they're both pretty good rates!

Thanks for the info, I'm starting to get a better idea of what I can ask for. I was hoping for at least $3000 off but maybe I can get more. I always like to play games with dealers anyway. I know their game and how they operate and it's fun to give it right back to them, once you piss them off or irritate them you usually get what you want, and if you don't, oh well move on!
