Depends what you like :P
If you like to be surrounded by foreigners, go to Roppongi clubs/bars etc Also, if you want to find Japanese women who love foreigners, go to Roppoingi clubs/bars etc If you want to get some nice clothes shopping done, primarily for women, go to Shinjuku or Shibuya. 109 in Shibuya is a high story builder just for clothes and such... Akihabara if anime and the like are your thing. Shinjuku also has (IMO) the most beautiful women of Japan) Kabukicho in Shinjuku is Japan's most famous, expensive, dangerous, and overall best Red Light district. If this is your thing: Shinjuku has a gay section/part of town that is rare in Japan. Shinjuku basically has everything lol Ikebukuro's Sunshine City is pretty tight. Has some nice game centers, shopping, and whatnot Takadanobaba is where you will find hot, young college students as that's where Waseda is located Let me know if you want more info :P

If you don't speak Japanese though, things can get pretty difficult/confusing; fun nonetheless though

Here's what i posted awhile back to another forum member
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ighlight=tokyo Japan was pretty cool place, I stayed in Shinjuku. The people there were polite but didn't speak much english (hopefully you have a friend/translator) that does). The Narita airport is about an hour away from the city of Tokyo, so prepare for a long ride....i took the fast train, Narita Express to Shinjuku Station (about $30 USD). There's so many places to go, i mostly ate and went site seeing in the city. The sushi there is not very fancy like the states...(ie. dragon rolls, spider rolls, volcano rolls, etc.) they're simple fish with rice but the quality of the fish is like eating butter (not that you would) 2 things to be aware of: the red light district, Kabukicho, just don't go into any bars there. THere's going to be many annoying guys on the street trying to get you into their bars. Some of the bars are own by gangsters and the prices are ridiculous (but you won't no this until the end of the night). In Roppongi (place is cater more to foreigners) be careful of the english speaking Nigerians there going to try to be your friend and rip you off. So don't pay attention to them. Have fun! Here's a couple of good websites on Japan: http://wikitravel.org/en/Tokyo/Shinjuku http://www.jnto.go.jp/eng/

If you happen to be walking around and run into fellows wearing long sleeved clothing and you just so happen to catch a glimpse of their arms that happen to be covered in tats, kindly move aside haha.
Japan is a cool ass place man, its too bad you didn't make it over that way earlier in the year because Fuji is definitely pretty cool. The countryside is pretty cool if you're into that sorta thing. If you have time and money, I'd suggest traveling to southern japan to Miyajima Island, that place has some rich history, it's pretty cool there. |

I've always wanted to go to Tokyo.
...But it would be hilarious for me. I would be like Bill Murray in "Lost in Translation." Wouldn't have a fucking clue.

it also doesn't help that they have an amazing fashion sense and dress to impress 24/7... Made it REALLLLLY hard to not be single...

I was there earlier this year. I was not impressed by Roppongi. It just reminded me of NYC with annoying Nigerians on the street. Gas Panic clubs seemed like the only reasonably "safe" club there. The other ones were empty, run by yakuza or had girls in there trying to hustle you.
I would suggest just wandering around and going into the little restaurants along the way. When you get there go to the Tsukiji fish market and walk around the places near by. The sushi there is amazing. Here's some pics of my time over there. http://www.flickr.com/photos/chofung...7617337239366/
