Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric rear wear vs. others?

I put a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric tires on my '07 335i sport last year as replacements for the OEM Bridgestone RE050A runflats. I've been extremely happy with the performance of these tires in pretty much every area *except* wear. I've got about 13K on them and the rear tires are getting pretty close to being toasted. I'm guessing 15K is all I'm going to get. Note that this is for the rear tires only. The fronts are definitely wearing less quickly.

The OEM Bridgestone runflats lasted a solid 22K both front and rear.

What kinds of tire life are people seeing out there? For replacement I'm considering a few different types, such as:
- Michelin PS2 (non runflat)
- Sumitomo HTRZ-III
- GY F1 Asymmetric again, if the price is low enough

I know the Michelins are more expensive but if they last longer, then the price is worth it. Thoughts??

I had GYF1's once on my 02 m3 and it handled like a dream but the wear was too much!

Michelin are the best.
They lasted 35k the last time i changed my tires.

also consider rotating your front tires to the rear and putting the rear in front BEFORE the rear tires wear out so that you still have directional traction.

Can't rotate 'em since the tire sizes are staggered.

So PS2s lasted 35K miles? That seems like a stretch.

My F1 Asymmetric rears lasted me 15k miles. I was happy with that.. not sure what you were expecting. It is all you can expect out of a summer performance tire and 300+HP. Not a chance PS2's will last you longer. BMW Jet is confused.. he is also suggesting you put your 265+ on the front I have heard of PS2 rears lasting 10k.

I'll just be replacing my rears come spring, these tires are PS2 performance for less $, can't go wrong. Obviously wear is dictated by driving style too.

Thanks for the data point. I didn't have any expectations going in but 15K is definitely less than the ~22K the stock RE050A runflats lasted. Not that I have any desire to go back to the RE050As... the F1 Asymmetric is a better tire.

I'm at 12K now on mine. They still look really good all around with plenty of tread left. I'm figuring I'll get 20K out of mine. I've run 6 track days so far on them as well. My LSD is helping with traction too.

Not sure how you're managing that.. especially with 6 track days? A typical set of track tires (I know these are not) go about a dozen track days.

I must be doing something wrong.. aside from driving like an ass

my tires usually lat about 6000 miles: i do not know whether to laugh or cry.
.... i am currently running dunlop derreza z1s... they handle like hell - but i will be lucky to get 6000 miles with no track days.
