not sure where Maple is, but there are shops in TO that can disable your DRL,
and to use the angel eyes as DRL you need to buy the vista kit

I suppose some people want their car to be less visible to oncoming traffic.

^ just like the way it looks. i rather have my angel eyes as my DRL's. and if i had no DRL's i would still have it on my parking light mode so my angel eyes would be on every time i drove. i do realize the importance of DRL's.

You need to disable the DRL still in order to do have the rings running only...

Cross Avenue and RMP supposedly can do it, I think Bimmersport can do it as well, just call and ask, but last I heard, they are not very responsive if you call in and ask, you might need to go in person to ask, since this is kind of illegal...

The procedure is fast if they can look into your car rightaway.

It isn't illegal to disable the DRLs if you replace them with another source, which is what the OP wants to do.

I would rather have the rings as DRLs, but I am not willing to modify my existing harness. Sigh...I guess I will just have to buy an LCI 335d

Vista is a must have add on, unless you remember to turn the rings on all the time when you drive and turn it off when you leave.

It isn't illegal to turn it off if you have a way to permanently turn on the rings when you start the car, though I have to admit I never actually got pulled over for not having my headlights on during the day when I had it disabled.
