BMS dual cone intake install

Really BMW? Really? They had to have that one intake tube all the way in the back. Hardest intake install of all of my cars I've previously owned. Took me like 45 minutes. Eclipse took 15 minutes and g35 took about 15. I hope the jb3 is not as annoying to install.

Airbox is not hard to take off...Problem is when you first try to take it off, you are apprehensive and don't want to break anything....Once you have done it once, you realize that you need to pull straight up with FORCE for the first grommet fitting and then the second also..

Was the engine cold? It helps to warm the engine a bit first to allow the tubing to flex a bit. Becomes much easier the second time anyway.

my butt dyno tells me there's a 2hp increase. Nonetheless, I love hearing my turbo spool up and wind.

I installed mine on Wed night and i had the same issue. Removing the airbox wasnt a problem at all. It was that rear intake...took me a good 25 mins just on the rear intake...and...wait for it....i dropped a screw driver and took about 15 mins trying to get that from underneath the engine. But like you said...didnt feel much power gains...but definitely sounds nice! Forge DVs next...and then the tune!

Dual cones would be a lot easier if you take out the cowl. It took me 10-15 minutes to go from dual cones back to stock.

Remember to use to hair dryer to blow on the inlet hoses when installing the stock airbox back on. Makes it alot easier!

+1. I had a rough time trying to get the hoses back on the intake box.
