Clear RAZR V3m Voicemail Notification from iDrive?

I've got a RAZR in a cradle in my car, and almost everything works perfectly except...

When I get a voicemail notification, nothing shows up on iDrive, but I can hear the phone beeping in my center armrest. I can check voicemail from iDrive with no problem. However, nothing ever bothers to tell the phone that I've checked messages and it can stop notifying me. So until I open the armrest and turn off the notification, the phone will keep beeping indefinitely.

Any ideas?

Turn off the audible alert on your phone. That is the only way out.

Besides this minor issue, how doea everything else sync up with your V3m?

Mostly pretty good. It sometimes takes a minute or three for the car to figure out the phone is there when I first start the engine. And sometimes (usually?) the missed call / message waiting indicator doesn't show up on the iDrive screen. But other than those two things, it's been working flawlessly.

it's beeping because of the missed call, once you check the VM that clears the VM indicator, but doesn't clear the missed call log

Well, I thought it was a message waiting indicator. It's a little cell phone icon next to the signal strength bars. It showed up the first two or three times I got a message and / or missed a call, and a few times intermittently after that, but I haven't seen it in a while.

The icon that looks like a mobile is a missed call indicator and shows calls that were missed in the car.

Ok, so I was half right. Maybe even 3/4 right.

I bought my RAZR to be a car phone only, so I just leave it in the cradle 24x7. My theory is that the missed call indicator should show up everytime I get a call that I don't answer, but it doesn't seem to work that way. For some reason, it only shows me that icon some of the time.

Perhaps the car doesn't recognize a missed call that occurs when the car is off, even if the phone is plugged into the cradle and on at the time?

Correct. The car would have to be on.

Right , the little cell phone icon next to the signal bars indicates a call that your car thinks you missed. To clear it you'll need to go to the missed call area in the iDrive interface and clear the missed calls list from there. Then the icon goes away.
