Oil Cooler? When? Which versions of 335i

Looking for a Dinan upgrade and read that lack of oil cooler might be an issue.

Which 335i have oil coolers?

Year/date?

Options? (sports package?)

Help is very much appreciated.

Also - if anyone has had any issues with the Dinan upgrades (which one?) - please let me know!

THANKS AGAIN!

i have a 2009 E90 335i xDrive w/sports package but without 18 inch wheels. My car DID not come with an oil cooler.

My car has had 0 issues with overheating and it is driven everyday - I took delivery November of 2008 and my car has 19800 miles on it.

I love this car. Right now its on jack stands, but it will be fully operational in due time!

I guess you have to have sports package w/18inch wheels to get the oil cooler.

If you have sports package, you should have the oil cooler. that being said, many of the '07 and some of the '08 did not come with the oil cooler... but if you have Sports Package, you can tell your dealership and they should have it installed for free.

You can tell by looking at the front of the front passenger wheel well... it'll look like an AC vent...

I've had Dinan Stage 2 for almost 2 years now, never had a single problem with the software... No other power modifications, but I do have the factory oil cooler installed.

im not sure about pre 09. but 2009 XI models do NOT have the oil cooler with sports package unless you ADD 18" WHEELS.
What sucks is that there was no indication of this when buying the vehicle...BMW now states it, but previously did not state what adding 18"wheels add, other than just being 18" wheels.
so not upgrading did NOT add oil cooler or higher speed limiter with sports package alone.

but anyway. 2009 e92 xi sports package no oil cooler.

i believe all RWD versions and sport package automatically added 18" wheels, therefore adding the oil cooler.
I guess that was the reason for the price difference when adding ZSP to XI and ZSP to RWD models.

Thanks - how do I visually see if there is an oil cooler or not?

Is it safe to assume all '08+ RWD with sports package have the oil cooler?
