STAY AWAY from Burwell Autobody in London

Hi everyone,

I have started a thread about how I was gouged for installing the reflector. In short, I was charged 1.4 hours for the job whereas BMW London suggests it's about 30 minutes.

For those who reside in London, stay away from Burwell Autobody. It's a BMW approved body shop, but charge more than BMW.

they are one of the most expensive bodyshops in London for most of the things they do, but I've heard a few good things about them. Is that the only BMW approved body shop in London?

Another one is White Oaks Autobody. I agree that Burwell does good work. In fact, they installed my CF spoiler and HID fog for a reasonable price. Perhaps they thought they undercharged me and have to overcharge me this time to break even. Oh well I am over it.

My next job will be to install the black matte grill.

Btw, let me know where you guys are meeting up this weekend.

UltraMate Estimating System does say it takes 1.4 hours to install, why wouldn't you just get bmw to install it for 30 minutes then?

I trusted Burwell and went there without asking for a price quote, expecting it to be 30-45 minutes job. When I got the bill, I was shellshocked. So I called BMW next day to get an estimate.

Anyhow, it's good to know that fellow members here are supportive and will help each other for small mods.

How do you have access to the estimation software? I hope you are not a spy from Burwell -

it just happens that you joined the forums this month and your first post tells us that you have access to the estimating system. that doesn't sound fishy at all!

1.4 hours to install reflectors? did it myself with a blow dryer and flathead screwdriver in 15 minutes. what a fucking rip off lol.
