De-badging tips/techniques

I am thinking about de-badging the '325i' I have done this on a few Jap cars with no problem (dental floss and goo-gone). Is this a smart idea on a 4 year old Alpine White car? Is the adhesive difficult to get off compared to...?

Did it on my girlfriends AW 325i with no issues using the same method (except I used fishing line and WD-40). The unexposed paint behind the emblems blended with the surrounding paint perfectly even after ~4 years.
I used a blow dryer to heat up the emblems/adhesive first and it was pretty easy. The adhesive was a little time consuming to remove cleanly, but not difficult to do. IIRC, circular motions worked best.

You might want to follow up with a polish cause you will most likely swirl your paint.

took my "335i" off after two and a half years. with goo gone and a blow dryer...still looks good!

dont use goo gone. might damage paint.

all you need is floss and soap/water mix. took off 335i a while back.

goo gone will not damage your paint, you're thinking of GOOF OFF.

goo gone will strip the wax, however, but you can just reapply afterwards.

Fill a bucket with boiling hot water with some soap in it. Take a car wash sponge, soak it in the hot soapy water then hold it over the emblems for a minute. That should loosen the glue up real quick.
