Didn't know the radio can display song titles

I always knew that it displays the title of the station but today I noticed it showed the song title.

LOL. The radio also displays the weather if your stations broadcast it.

Does the radio display time elapsed on an MP3 song? Especially when doing a FFWD?

It depends on the radio station. Not all stations display that information.

I noticed this too the other day. I know for a fact that z103.5 didn't have this a couple weeks back but found out during my long drives this week, that it displays the song title.

Good find for sure. Thanks

I think it's true, it's called RDS (Radio Data System) and it has to be broadcasted by the radio station. The car radio has to be RDS enabled - which it is. Nice little feature.

1990 calling weiweiwei!!

BTW: if you press the left and right arrow together, this enables the little known Teleport feature... very handy when I'm running late

Is that a dealer programmed option?

It's a built-in feature of the radio, as far as I know. But it only works if the information is being broadcasted by the specific radio station you are listening to.

Yeah. I noticed this too. For the longest time, 103.5 didn't have any text show up but in the last week or so, I've seen the "Press Your Luck" text and song titles.

The song title display is standard on cars with steptronics.

But you have to be sure that your headlight switch is set to "auto"
