Procede and Nitrous

How many Procede users would be interested in the ability to use a small shot of nitrous? And before everyone gets scared, the Procede has the ability to run nitrous very safely. Just like methanol is setup, if you add a window switch, a WOT switch, and a throttle pressure switch nitrous can be safely controlled.

Right now it seems that only the JB3 guys are running nitrous. I have tried emailing Shiv about it but I haven't heard anything from him. Maybe if we can get some more interest then its something he can consider.

maybe is just me but i think METH is enough and what is really needed is just a turbo upgrade.

Currently, there really isn't anything being done with respect to "tuning for nitrous" other than running a suffiently sized meth nozzle for fuel enrichment. There is really no special "tuning" involved with the tuning computer/dme. If we do something for nitrous (which is something that I would do right or not at all), we'd want to trigger an ignition retard that activates when nitrous triggers and then decays over a second or so. This would soften the initial impact of the shot as well as prevent any knock activity that could occur at that switchpoint. If there is actual demand for this, we could do it.

I'll run Nitrous Oxide and Procede or JB3 (or both) later this year with NO2. I'll use a progressive controller and don't need any direct support for this from the tuners. The possibility to set some ignition retard with the Procede for this purpose will be investigated though.

It would be useful to have a dedicated map for the NO2 mode with adjustable UT and IC for NO2 operation and some RPM-related interactions towards the NO2 system. I'll think this over and come with ideas for the functionality.

Exactly, that's why we need to get some interest so shiv can make a map for it.

The thread above should be plenty of motivation for Procede owners.
