Image taken in the boot, don't know what this is, doesn't seem to do anthing. Anyone know?

It is for holding the boot carpet flap up whilst accessing the compartment under the boot floor (where a spare tyre would go in a non RFT car).

You beat me to it 1916! I got my car last week and just noticed that thing today. I was there thinking "WTF is this?".

I only noticed after selling my car today, on the original purchase invoice I had split folding rears as well lol.
